Makhana Laddoo - great source of calcium!
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
 Servings: 2-3 Servings

Another nutty recipe for you. Makhanas are great for kids as they are a storehouse of nutrition, especially calcium. This laddoo tastes yum after a meal. And is a great way to satiate the ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye’ feeling after a meal!

Ingredients

  • Makhana(Lotus seeds): 2 cups
  • Raw Cashews (Kaju): 5-6
  • Cardamom powder: 1 tsp
  • Jaggery powder: 3-4 tsp
  • Dry coconut: 4-5 pieces (Optional)

Method

  • Dry roast Makhana for few minutes.
  • Put the roasted makhana into a blender, along with jaggery, cashews, dry coconut and cardamom powder. Grind well.
  • Immediately post grinding make small balls. Your laddoos are ready!

  • Eating guide:

  • Food group: Nuts & Seeds
  • Serve as a sweet-dish after lunch or dinner or simply as an evening snack to kids.
  • You can exclude the Makhanas to do simple nut laddoos.
