Tomato celery juice are a great way to up your raw quotient. They act as our much needed natural vitamin and mineral supplement. But it may feel cumbersome to get the process of juicing going. When starting to incorporate juices in your daily rhythm, it's best to start with simple single ingredients. Here is a quick-to-do recipe of readily available tomato juice blended with the flavourful pudina and ginger. Do note, we do not add any salt to our veggie juice as salt makes it fester in the tummy!

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes: 3 - 4 (big ones)
  • Pudina (mint) leaves: 1 bunch
  • Celery Stalk: 1-2 stalk (you can use leaves, but they are mildly bitter, so use per taste)
  • Ginger: a small piece (big coin size)
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder: 1/2 tsp or as per taste

Method

  • Clean all the veggies in freshwater.
  • Chop the tomatoes and the mint leaves finely.
  • Chop both the stem and the leaves of the celery stalk.
  • Peel the outer skin of ginger and chop it into small pieces.
  • Mix all the above ingredients in a mixer and blend it nicely to smooth consistency.
  • Use a strainer and filter the juice to remove any bumps.
  • Add water for consistency.
  • Add roasted cumin seeds powder and serve it chill.

Eating Guide:

Food group: Vegetables (raw)
Best time to eat: This tomato and celery juice can be had in morning or evenings too. While vegetables can be mixed with most food groups (except fruits), usually juices are best consumed mid morning or in evening
