Raw Banana and Sweet Potato Tikkis

The exotic combination of raw banana with potato is a pleasure to taste and health# rich in FIBRE#


Ingredients 

  1. Raw banana - 2 
  2. Sweet potato - 1 big ( it was 350 gram ) 
  3. Raw mango -75 grams ( or half small raw mango , grated) 
  4. Tapiaco flour - 2 tbsp ( or arrow root powder) 
  5. Methi leaves - 1tsp ( finely chopped) 
  6. Garlic paste- 2 tsp 
  7. Jeera powder - 1 tsp 
  8. White pepper powder - 1/2 tsp ( optional ) 
  9. Garam masla - 1 tsp ( optional) 
  10. Red chilly powder- 1tsp 
  11. Salt to taste 

Spreading:

Powdered red poha -for toasting ( in mixi put red poha and powder it )


Method

  1. Steam sweet potato and raw banana. (Wash the sweet potato properly as we are going to use its peel) and keep it separately.
  2. Remove the skin of the steamed raw banana and grate it.
  3. Smash sweet potato potato along with its peel
  4. In a bowl put grated raw banana, smashed potato, grated raw mango and the above-mentioned ingredients, and mix. It should be like a Chapati dough consistency.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and press them in a cutlet or round shape, of your choice. 
  6. Optional - Sprinkle powdered red poha on flattened cutlets, and roll the cutlets in red poha powder, so that it covers the cutlets equally on all sides. It will give a good texture while toasting.
  7. Toast the cutlets on both sides till golden brown over a sim flame, as it's oil-free! ( optional - use a bit of cold pressed oil for toasting)
  8. Remove from flame and serve hot with green chutney
