Nutty Ginger Bites - Refined Sugar-Free Dairy-Free

When you want something sweet, but not so sweet! When you want something nice and tasty but not unhealthy! Here’s a quick-fix and short-eat to satisfy those not so clear cravings.
Ingredients
- Poha: ½ cup
- Almonds: ¼ cup
- Dry ginger powder: 1 tsp
- Cardamom: 1 pod
- Organic jaggery powder: 3 tbsp
- Water: 1 tbsp
- Rock salt: 1 pinch
- Roasted crushed nuts/ poppy seeds: to coat the dough.
Method
- Grind poha in a mixie to get as fine a powder as you can get.
- Transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Grind almond, cardamom, salt and ginger powder to get a fine powder.
- Add it to the mixing bowl with powdered poha.
- In a pan boil jaggery powder with a tbsp of water for 3 minutes or until completely melted and syrupy.
- Add the melted jaggery syrup to the mixing bowl little by little and knead into a soft dough.
- Shape the dough into a cylinder and roll it in nut powder or poppy seeds to coat it.
- Cut slices and serve. You can flatten and press with a fork to get a design as seen in the coverpicture.
- Best served after a few hours.
