Diced Tomato In Honey Lemon Dressing

The same old tamatar- pyaz for salad! Yes, with a dash of sweet n sour honey-lemon dressing! Try this recipe to add flavour to your regular tomato salad. Enjoy as a light salad or as a topping with other dishes! Make sure you garnish it with different herbs each time. Add some Thai/ Indian Basil, and it lends an Italian flavour. Add some coriander, and it lends some Indianness to the salad. Add mint, and it's a new flavour again.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes : 4
- Onions: 1-2
- Salad leaves (Mint/Spinach/Lettuce): 2 cups
- Fresh mint: for garnish
For dressing:
- Honey: 2 tsp (per taste)
- Garlic cloves: 2-3 chopped finely
- Lemon juice: 2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes: 2 tsp (per taste)
Method
- Clean and dice the tomatoes.
- Slice onions thinly.
- Clean and chop the green salad leaves. You can simply break with hands.
- Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl.
- Dress the salad with honey, lemon juice and chilli flakes and serve.
- Add fresh mint on top.
- Add some olives (optional).
