Carrot Tomato Juice

Juices are great way to up your raw quotient. They act as natural vitamin and mineral supplement, without the side effects! Often it may feel cumbersome to get the process of juicing going. Read more about juicing in our section to Vegetables & juices.
Here is a simple winter season juice to get you started!
Ingredients
- Carrot: 2
- Tomato: 2
- Ginger : ½ to 1 inch
- Water - Minimal
- Amla - 1/2 (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish
- Lemon juice:few drops
Method
- Wash the veggies well.
- Cut the veggies and put in a blender.
- Add ginger and blend well.
- Sieve with regular soup sieve using a ladle / spoon.
- Pour in a glass.
- Add lemon to the above and mix well.
- Pour the above mix in a glass and enjoy the drink!
- Garnish with the pudina leave.
Do not throw the roughage. Add to your tikkis or atta.
Eating guide:
- Food group: Vegetables
- Best time to eat: Juices can be had in morning or evenings too. While vegetables can be mixed with most food groups (except fruits), usually juices are best consumed mid morning or in evening.
- Great way to up vegetables for kids too.
- Remember NOT to add salt to your veg juice. It will ferment it in the tummy!
