Almond Butter - add healthy fats to your diet

Nut butter is a great way to add healthy fats to your diet. You can make them easily at home and store for a couple of days. Try this simple, quick-to-do recipe of making your own almond butter.
Ingredients
- Almonds- 3 cup (Dry roasted and unsalted)
- Rock Salt - 1 Tsp
- Honey - 1 tbsp (Optional)
Method
- Dry roast almonds and allow to them cool.
- Place the roasted almonds in a blender. On low speed, blend the mixture until coarsely chopped. Increase the speed and blend it for another 1 to 2 minutes until smooth paste forms.
- Now add salt and blend again.
- If desired, add honey and blend once more.
- Using a spatula or spoon, scoop the almond butter into an airtight plastic container and keep refrigerated.

- Can be combined with any food group (except fruits). Can be easily consumed with meals. So lunch dinner, sandwich or chilla almond butter is always healthful, especially for kids.
